Jøna Maaryn, a West Texas native, with a background in Fine Art Photography has always found herself attracted to one desert artist community to the next. From Marfa, TX where she began her furniture design career, to Arcosanti, AZ where she taught welding, interior/furniture design, and then to the Mojave Desert in Joshua Tree, CA where she continued designing/building furniture and doing interior design. She then moved to the jungly outskirts of Gainesville, FL where she splits her time designing/building custom furniture and working in art fabrication at PULP ARTS. Her career has made a full cirlcle and has landed her back in Marfa, TX where she resides with her fiance Malcolm and her pup Nora. She continues to make custom furniture in her Marfa studio and is working along side her parnter on a large scale hospitality project. Her work has been featured in AD Italia, NY Times, Dwell, Huffington Post, Vogue Brasil, Martha Stewart, Vogue Home & Arch Daily.
